This is a original water colour painting by Fredrick J Skill, a 19thc  English landscape and portrait painter, he worked for the London Journal and Cassells Family paper as an illustrator. Exhibited from 1858.  A finely painted European scene with horse and groom and background detail.  Titled "Preparing the Horses".  Signed lower right side and dated 1873. This is a lovely interesting scene by well known Victorian artist.  Measures 22cm x 18cm picture size and 43cm x 40cm with gilt frame.
